Bang Bang Chicken Wang- A Wing to Remember

Bang Bang Chicken Wang

My “Bang Bang Chicken (Shrimp)” Story

As a self-proclaimed restaurant connoisseur and foodie, I was told a couple years ago that I must try Bonefish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp. My friends were raving about it and the pictures on Facebook  displaying the beautiful arranged prawns looked amazing!

So my arm was twisted… (It doesn’t take much). My wife and I set up a date night away from the kids to try these unforgettable shrimp and a couple drinks of course.

The Verdict??? The shrimp was delicious! The crispy fried outside and chewy moist center were complimented perfectly with the sweet and spicy sauce. I left the restaurant full, happy and satisfied.

The Creation of the Bang Bang Chicken Wing

I woke up the next morning still thinking (No obsessing) over that dish. The shrimp was exquisite, but I was really impressed with the sauce. I had to find that recipe and incorporate it into more dishes.

After a bit of research, and a lot of consideration about my catering menu, I started to tinker around in my kitchen and  mixed different ingredients and proteins. In my mind, I was a mad scientist trying to recreate the Frankenstein of food. It was a lot of work and trial and error.  In the end, I presented the perfect Bang Bang Chicken Wing recipe to my friends and family. It immediately became desirable and often requested for all my parties.
